A Sunset Serenity

Views from inside the house looking outward were of prime consideration as that is the most prevalent perspective. The lighting we installed enhances a sense of depth in the composition and eliminates the “black mirror” effect when looking out of the windows at night.

For the deck, long-lasting LED strip-lighting was mounted in a channel cut in the underside of the handrail. There it is protected and out of the way, while providing a warm, even glow across the railing and floor. The intensity is controlled with a dimmer to achieve the right ambiance. Lighting fixtures in the pergola are small and unobtrusive, with all wiring runs concealed in or on top of the overhead beams and upright columns.
